TENNIS

SPARTA has a Tennis section. 

 

Competitions are held at:

• ​The SPARTA Sports Day where a Doubles Tournament (Round Robin) is held, open to Mens, Ladies and Mixed Doubles pairings.  It is competitive, but with a welcoming, friendly & fun atmosphere.​

• The CSLTC Interdepartmental Doubles Open Championship Tournament where we enter Teams in the Mens, Ladies and Mixed events. This is held in Nottingham over 3 days usually in October.  Each Team consists of 2 pairs playing the opposing 2 pairs from other Departments in Round Robin Formats.  The standard is good club up to County standard.

We are also planning to hold a Tennis Session in London in the spring of 2023 for perspective new players, ideally indoors late-afternoon/evening.  This will be organised by existing SPARTA players and funded by SPARTA with a view to getting regular tennis organised for SPARTA players.
